There’s a certain kind of energy that builds before something big happens and in Abia State right now, that energy is impossible to ignore.
In preparation for the highly anticipated Abia Mega Empowerment Rally scheduled for April 25, 2026, in Umuahia, the Abia State delegation of the City Boy Movement, led by its State Director, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu), paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Adaejiagamba, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.
This wasn’t just a routine visit. It was a meeting of shared vision, alignment, and purpose.

A Shared Vision for Empowerment
During the engagement, Onyejeocha, a strong partner of the City Boy Movement, didn’t hold back in expressing her admiration for what the movement represents.
She commended the leadership for putting together an empowerment programme that mirrors her long-standing political values: creating real opportunities for people and building structures that last.
Her appreciation also extended to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose policies, according to her, have played a role in stabilising the nation and opening up new pathways for youth inclusion. She acknowledged the City Boy Movement as a key vehicle helping bridge the gap between governance and young people.
More importantly, she reaffirmed her unwavering support.
For her, empowerment is not just a talking point, it’s a consistent thread that has defined her political journey. And she made it clear: efforts like this must go beyond plans and become visible, measurable impact.

A Call for Action and Political Mobilisation
With the 2026 political landscape gradually taking shape, Onyejeocha charged the movement to stay focused and intentional.
She emphasised the need to:
• Translate vision into tangible results
• Strengthen grassroots mobilization
• Build solid support structures across Abia State
Her message was clear - no room for passive participation.
She also highlighted the importance of rallying support to secure Abia State for the President and all candidates of the APC, reinforcing the role of the movement in shaping political outcomes.

Leadership That Recognises Leadership
In his response, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu) acknowledged Onyejeocha’s impact both within Abia State and on the national stage.
He praised her:
• Commitment to service
• Consistent empowerment initiatives
• Track record of positively affecting lives
He also reiterated confidence in the policies of President Tinubu, particularly those geared toward youth development.
According to Igbokwe, the City Boy Movement is not just another political structure, it is a strategic platform designed to actively engage, empower, and integrate young people into governance.

No One Left Behind
One of the strongest takeaways from the visit was the movement’s commitment to inclusiveness.
Igbokwe assured that:
• Every stakeholder matters
• Grassroots voices will be heard
• Opportunities will be accessible
The goal is simple but powerful; build a system where nobody is sidelined.
The Road to April 25
As the countdown to the Abia Mega Empowerment Rally begins, one thing is certain: this is more than just an event.
It is shaping up to be:
• A convergence of leadership and youth
• A platform for opportunity
• A statement of intent for the future of Abia State
And if this visit is anything to go by, the movement is not just preparing for a rally, it’s building momentum for something much bigger.
Signed:
Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu)
