The Abia State Director of the City Boy Movement, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, has reaffirmed the Movement’s strong commitment to securing victory for all candidates of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mayor Igbokwe made this known during a significant political gathering held in honor of the official declaration of Chief Uzoma Inuka (Ikeoha), who formally announced his
intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Isialangwa North/South Federal Constituency.

The event attracted top party stakeholders, including the Abia State APC Chairman, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, Chief Emmanuel Egwu, Hon. Jerry Awa, alongside other party leaders and supporters.
In his address, the host and aspirant, Chief Uzoma Inuka, expressed profound appreciation for the presence of the APC State Chairman and the City Boy Movement Director, describing their attendance as a strong sign of support and encouragement. He noted that contesting for the House of Representatives requires experience, strategic understanding, and political direction. He assured party members that both Isialangwa North and South Local Government Areas would be delivered to the APC in 2027.
Chief Inuka further introduced Mayor Lucky Igbokwe to the audience, commending his leadership, dedication, and consistent efforts in mobilizing youths and strengthening the party’s grassroots structure.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu thanked the host for the warm reception on behalf of the State Working Committee. He reiterated the party’s determination to take over Abia State, stressing that unity, discipline, and collective responsibility remain essential. He urged all party members and aspirants to work together, avoid violence and bitterness, and embrace a spirit of cooperation, noting that the APC is stronger when united.
Addressing the gathering, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, speaking on the authority of the State Chairman, highlighted his political journey and reaffirmed his belief in the APC as the party with a clear and promising future. He stated that his decision to align with the APC was driven by its inclusive structure, which actively empowers young people and women to take on leadership roles.
He commended the leadership of the Ikeoha Movement, emphasizing that the appointment of its leader as the Abia South Zonal Coordinator of the City Boy Movement was well-deserved. He called on supporters and stakeholders to rally behind Chief Uzoma Inuka, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver effective representation.
Mayor Igbokwe further emphasized that the City Boy Movement remains the foremost pro-group within the APC, playing a vital role in identifying credible leaders. According to him, aspirants within the Movement who have demonstrated competence and capacity stand a strong chance of securing party tickets.
Other stakeholders who spoke at the event echoed calls for unity, grassroots mobilization, and sustained political engagement as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
The gathering ended on a high note, with renewed optimism and a shared commitment among party faithful to work collectively toward achieving electoral victory for the APC across all levels in Abia State.
